Elf The Musical Jr.

Performers will embrace her or his “inner elf,” in this modern-
day musical classic! adventuring through New York City,
join buddy, Charlie, Shawanda and Jovie on their journey to
spread the holiday cheer to all far and near. Plenty of large
ensemble numbers featuring elves and New Yorkers will restore the spirit of the holidays!

 

Young Performers Program Elf The Musical Jr. (grades K-1st)

Kids have their chance to perform on stage. all children attend weekly rehearsals to learn songs, dances, and lines. The class includes acting, games, singing, and dancing. each child enrolled receives a part, an audio file, and a script for personal practice. Instructor: Margo Proeh, Gabrielle Garza, and Children’s Theatre Co. absences must be limited to two class sessions to participate. The final performance date and time is to be deter- mined. Min 6/Max 20.

Session I: 12 weeks

All children have the opportunity to perform in a musical theater production
on stage. actors rehearse weekly under the direction of our highly accredited vocal, dance, and drama instructors. The final performance includes original costumes, sound and set. each child who auditions receives a part, an audio file and a script for personal practice. *First rehearsal is mandatory. Instructor: Margo Proeh and Children’s Theatre Co. The final performance date and time is to be determined. Min 6/Max 20.

 Rising Stars! Lights, Camera, Action! (Grades 2nd – 8th)

Get ready for your close up! See yourself on camera and have some fun! Students will learn the tips and techniques of acting in front of the camera and get a chance to work with the latest sides and audition material. Each student will receive a copy of their on camera performance to take home. Min/Max: 8/20

Musical Theatre Tots!

Show: Peter Pan & Tinkerbell (ages 3-5)

Children will delight in performing the ad- venture of Peter Pan and Tinkerbell on stage. They embark on a magical journey while singing, dancing and acting in a final call and response show. Make new friends, connect to the musical theatre, and build community of young artists. Through the arts, young children develop social, language, physical, and cognitive skills. Costumes are provided at the final performance. Children MuST BE potty-trained and ready for a drop-off group experience. Min 7/Max 20.

Just Improv! (grades 2nd-7th)

Are you an aspiring young Fey or Fallon? learn the improve skills from First line Freeze to Jump emotions to sphinx: and how to build scene spontaneously in this fast paced and fun class. we will work on skills that will get you out of your head and into your imagination, the concept of “yes” and the importance of ensemble. The only materials required for this fun class are an open mind and a sense of adventure! Min 4/Max 16

Doorways: Empowering Students (ages 12-18 yrs)

Preparing for a College Interview!

Doorways is a workshop designed to prepare students for their next steps in life.
our mission is to empower students by building confidence, authenticity, and presence. our goal is to mold confident young men and women. our hope is for our students to leave our program and be able to enter a room with presence, answering question from a place of confidence and truth, maintaining eye contact and being aware of body language and vocal quality. Margo Proeh has been through extensive train- ing in this field and is currently a program provider for after school Matters.

Showbiz Kids Days (ages 3 1/2-6 yrs)

Does your little one love to act, sing and dance as characters from your favorite musicals? students will dance, sing and learn techniques cantered on the theme of the day. using props, theatre games and movement, children will develop knowledge, skill and begin to learn and understand musical theatre. Min 6/Max 20.
