Program Offerings

Did you know that the River Forest Community Center is totally self-supporting and does NOT appear on your tax bill?

The Community Center is an Illinois not-for-profit organization that was incorporated in 1975 for the purpose of providing recreational, social and educational programs for the residents of River Forest and surrounding communities. The Community Center does not have any direct taxing authority and derives the majority of its operating budget from program user fees. Other sources of revenue include fundraising, grants, special events and donations.

The Community Center provides recreational and educational programs for people of all ages including State licensed child care and preschool programs for children, instructional programs for youths, sports classes and seminars for adults and activities and outings for seniors.

As always, the Community Center prides itself on offering quality programs at a reasonable cost and will continue to explore new program development when practical.

The Community Center sincerely appreciates the support of all of our program participants and welcomes the opportunity to provide programs to meet the needs of the community in the future. On behalf of the Community Center I would encourage you to visit our facility and participate in one of our programs.
